CANON SYNOPSIS:
Riful was a first generation female Claymore, a being fused with a demon to destroy other demons that were out of control. During her time she was number one Claymore. She was the youngest to awaken, that is reach a higher level of the demonic power they were given by losing control of it. She went to the west and became known as the Abyssal One of the West (there being a male Abyssal One of the North and another female Abyssal One of the South…both of which were previously number one in their generation of Claymores).

She appears as a young girl, possibly in her mid teens, that is whimsical and cheerful but is completely amoral with a disregard for anyone and anything other than her goals. Her goal being to create an army of Awakened Claymores to fight the Northern Alliance of Isely (the Abyssal One of the North) and Priscilla (an Awakened Claymore from the same generation as Teresa). She has been kidnapping Claymores she deems worthy enough to awaken and join her in her fight.

ONORATA-VERSE BACKGROUND:
Riful may have been born as a normal human child if it had not been for her mother being the wife of a Vescovo scientist. From the time she was conceived experiments were conducted on her in her mother’s womb, just as several other’s had been. When she was born she was thought to be a failure since she did not share the same characteristics as many of the other successes. But as she grew older it became evident that had been a success, in fact she was more powerful than many of the others. She quickly proved to be a dangerous weapon and soared above the rest, becoming one of the first “awakened” of the experiments.

Her awakening resulted in the death of several scientist and even a few of her peers. The young girl was never given a real childhood, after her awakening reached the Don Vescovo’s ears she was moved into the soldati ranks.

At the age of seventeen she stopped physically aging, a common side effect among the subjects, one of many. The awakened subjects are known for their bloodlust that can often overtake them at times, a need to feed upon humans that can be ignored by the strongest but sometimes needs to be indulged. One of the things that truly makes subjects a monster.

Very a long time she was content with being a simple soldati but eventually she wanted more and when she was finally the right age she looked into getting promoted to capo. It wasn’t easy but eventually she attained the position.

Despite her age (roughly 28 years old) Riful can be quite childish, more than likely due to her appearance. Most of the time she uses her appearance as an advantage over those that don’t know her. She appears a cheerful young woman but behind that façade she is calculating and has no regard for the lives of others. While she serves the family and does everything in her power to make the Vescovo family the rulers of the city she has her own goals. She wishes to go as far as she possibly can, to be the head.

Due to the experiments Riful, in her unawakened form, is stronger and faster than the average human, she also has accelerated regeneration. Her body can easily disassemble itself into ribbons, allowing her to avoid most injuries. In her awakened form her entire body is made of these ribbons that resemble hair. She can use the ribbons as weapons, hardening them into spikes that she uses to impale her opponent. Her weak point is somewhere within this tangle. She is not impervious to injuries, cutting off pieces of her do cause her pain and weaken her, eventually sending her back into her human form. She cannot hold her awakened form for more than thirty minuets and can only activate once a day.
